Safety Officer

Assist in provision of Safety Watch Training. • Assist with Site safety observation & compliance monitoring. • Contractors of equipment inspection in process area. • Gas monitoring by using electronic gas monitoring devices to access air quality in the work area. • Assist with general maintenance, cleaning and inspection of all HSE equipment including fire equipment, breathing air equipment, vehicles and mobile equipment. • Act as safety standby for hot work, confined space entry, excavation, lifting etc. Coordinating with supervisors of contractors company to comply safety requirements. • Identifying hazards and reporting to Senior Fire & Safety Technician/Loss Control Supervisor. • Participating in weekly housekeeping program safety walkthrough. • Participate in Emergency Response Team as per protocols. • Perform as Lead Safety Officer during Plant Shutdown/Turnaround.

Knowledge in reading Piping Drawings. • Familiar with welding and cutting Procedures. • Coordinating for NDT such as Radiography, NDT, DPT. • Pipe fabrication & installation & hydro static pressure testing. • Managing welding works. • Coordinating with stores on timely arrangement of materials. • Incoming material inspection and reporting. • Responsible for monitoring and control of construction. • Coordinating with client and inspection 3rd party. • Conducting tool box talk and monitoring work environment. • Carryout HSE inspections of work area, work method and related machines. • Advice and co-ordinate the implementation of work permit. • Ensuring that corrective action is put in to practice to avoid recurrence’s. • Register customer complaint and take corrective action. • To monitor safety aspect in all Mechanical, Electrical and Civil works. • Supervising the procurement and distribution of personal protective Equipment’s. • Checking company compliance with statuary safety regulation.
